It's am here in Olivet. All is well. Home at 1230 yesterday. Slept for hours. Now, of course, I can't sleep.
I had fun with hair. My tattoo artist, Rowan, had braids in her hair and I just fell in love with them. Thought I would research and do them myself. Most of my time while I was a passenger, I was processing and braiding my hair with fun yarn. My daughter, Heather, helped me part it and verify I had all the hair for the braid in my grasp.
We went shopping tonight after dinner at Applebee's and I found this fantastic textured yarn. I incorporated it into the top half of my scalp. The hard part is the sectioning and then the first braid.
Yay. I'm nearly done with it. I still need to finish the ends. Fun. Would be so much easier to do in other people's hair though. Not sure how long I will be able to keep them in my hair. Job search coming up.
Vacation was WONDERFUL. I have the best friends in the world. I am blessed. I saw wonderful sights, connected with people, enjoyed wonderful energy, exercised my body, mind, and soul, and, best of all, enjoyed myself. I should write more about it... Later.
For now, I think I could take a nap. Hair is all wrapped up in a satin wrap designed as a hairstyle saver. It slides on the pillow and prevents breakage. The braids are so new they are pulling on the scalp. It is a bit uncomfortable. Good thing I am a masochist. That will ease soon as the hair grows out a bit.
